100kw Atw, 4age

G'day guys i have a 16V Tvis bluetop and want to put 100+ KW at the wheels in a KE70
im thinking of going a nice ignition, some mild head work and a cam. possibly a piggy back ECU
is there a cheaper/easyer way?

Yeah, get a 4AGZE.
The last 4AGE I built makes 140hp or about 105kW at the wheels and it cost a fair bit to put together. You could do it cheaper, but it wouldn't be as reliable.

buying a 4AGZE is out of the question i have a bluetop already and going to rebuild it, i figured while im rebuilding it i may aswell bump up the power.

i have a TDO4 i could sell you, it would make 100kw at the wheels reliably for a long time.
it would be well within the (rebuilt) engine's and the turbo's ability, if you get a good head gasket and lower the compression a little.
youd only need 5-10 psi.
and a GZE computer to run it, or a piggybacked bigport computer.
or ofcourse a full aftermarket unit.

what sorta money would you be after for it? i would be running pretty much a new engine lowering the comp is easy would running a GZE computer in a 16V Tvis work or would i just chop out the TVIS butterfly?

im pretty sure you'd want to remove the TVIS for a turbo aplication anyway...theres a guy on here called "Megz" hes doing a turbo conversion on a TVIS 4AG in a KE25, ask him about that sort os stuff, he also has a thread in the members rides section, or can be found in the KE corolla thread.
