In the quest to keep my sprinter cool at the track im fitting a header tank.
at the moment i get nasty temperature spikes every now and then, and i belive it to be air in the coolant.
i have bought one of these quality Taiwanese tanks......with quality Taiwanese instructions.......................
now i believe the bottom connection goes to the lower radiator hose - i plan to tap a hose tail into to the alloy thermostat housing. (blue in diagram)
the lower of the two higher fittings goes to the radiator.
the upper of the two higher fittings, i was going to fit to the rear water outlet, on the back of the head (red in diagram)
the tank will be mounted up as high as possible, and will be aprox 150mm higher than any other part of the cooling system.
does this seem like the best solution? can anyone see any problems especially with regard to water flow in and out of the motor? anything else i need to consider?
cheers,
Craig.

Looks nice, thanks for the pic.
I just started wondering about how many of the air bubbles aren't from heat, but are generated by the WP impeller. Just moving a spoon in water produces a storm of them, maybe 1% of what the WP at speed would do if it wasn't pressurized.
