MC Motorsport is hosting a brand new 3 round series in 2010.


The series is for Targa log booked vehicles split into modern & classic classes. The first course will be based around the Targa West stage held at the RAC Driving Centre in 2009. Each crew will get three runs over the stage in each round. Each vehicle will be required to have both a driver & co-driver. The co-driver is able to be changed over throughout the series enabling sponsors, service crews or partners to experience tarmac rallying from the co drivers’ seat.

Entries:
Limited to a maximum of 40 vehicles AM session.
Entry is open but with preference given to participants competing in the whole Championship series. The cost per car is $145 (inc driver and co-driver) Pre-payment for the whole series can be made in advance at a cost of $405 which includes a discount.

Event details:
A driving event consisting of 3 stages on a sealed surface of approx 5km in length. Each course has been designed to test the acceleration, braking, and general manoeuvrability of the vehicle, along with the skill and judgment of the driver through the correct course. All three timed runs will count per round, and your worst round for the series will be dropped as per the Supplementary Regulations. There will be a maximum of two cars at a time on course.

Round 1: Sunday 17th Jan 2010
Round 2: Saturday 13th Feb 2010
Round 3: Friday 19th March 2010

LICENCES
Competitors including co-drivers will be required to hold a current Australian Auto-Sport Alliance Inc (AASA) club licence or higher. (or a current CAMS 2NS or higher). You must also hold and present a current driver’s licence at scrutineering.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
• First preference shall be given to Targa compliant/ registered vehicles
• All vehicles shall be road worthy and road registered. No unlicensed vehicles can compete unless by prior approval & possible inspection by the organisers.
• Tyres must be of a type approved for road use. (DOT)
• Lap sash seat belts is the minimum requirement (for challenge vehicles only)
• Vehicles must complete all tests using the same tyres fitted during the vehicles first run of the first test. Wheels and tyres may only be changed due to damage - which must be inspected by the scrutineer. Wheels and tyres can be rotated front to back.
• Open top vehicles must have suitable roll over protection fitted.
• A 1kg or larger fire extinguisher must be fitted. (with metal fixing

CLASSES
The event is designed to accommodate Targa Rally log booked compliant vehicles. The vehicles should be to Targa specification and safety standards. There will be four different classes as per the Australian Tarmac Regulations;
• Competition Modern
• Competition Classic
• Challenge Modern
• Challenge Classic
