4agze bigport blown head gasket

what prices are the materials, e.g head gasket, step dad is a mechanic so free labour but need to know reliability of the head as in do they usualy warp when boiled.? and cost of machining etc.. No.3 and 4 cyl arent working, 1,2 fine.

ACL valve grind kit from Repco (all seals and gaskets you need) - $120
Machine head flat and pressure test - $200 (from memory, though that may have included welding a leaking water gallery)
Different headgasket if you want a fancy one rather than the ACL one in the kit - ???

i had a head surfaced last week. spin wash and surface - 65 bucks.

hmmmmm okay sounds good, so head wont be beyond repair? hopefully =p

unless its gone soft...........its a quick test for the machinist to do also.

okay good news..kinda =p head gasket okay, cyls 3,4 working now; i got a new set of plugs..the others were 2 weeks old?? i can really here the fuel rail as well.. too much pressure?
