    Exclamation HELP!! Air Bag Suspension

Hey guys, recently bought a '89 Crown Royal Saloon G and I'm having issues with the rear left bag. I had a guy at W.E.B Suspension check it out today, he said that it was holding air. When I checked heights when I got home it had dropped a little bit. Now this may not sound that bad but when I got it serviced yesterday I was told that the bag was resting on the bump stop. Could this be a leak or something far worse?? Any help is greatly appreciated. Plus anybody know of a workshop in Adelaide that deals with air suspension??? Have just found a few threads addressing this issue. I want to keep the pimpness of the Crown going, I don't want to go to coilovers.

    Cheers

Bags are known to fail, they are 20 years old.

Start the car, set the suspension to the high setting. Once its up high, turn the suspension off (on the Celsior, there is a switch in the boot to disable the system).
This turns the pump off and shuts all the valves.

Measure every corner and then leave it over night. Something around 10mm is normal sag, but if it drops a couple of inches in one corner, that bag is stuffed.

You can also take it for a drive for a while and see if anything drops.

If you find a bag has failed (a likely scenario) then you can either get them new from Toyota, or 2nd hand from YJA, or an importer, or if you are lucky ones that are already in the country, or you could go to the extreme of converting to springs/shocks.

^ as above its very common for them to leak. If you are looking on Yahoo japan you can use 130 or 140 series crown rear bags.

over here in NZ from a friend who works at toyota we can get them for around $500, maybe someone on here can give you trade/discount.

Cheers guys. I don't really want to change to shocks and springs. If there's anybody out there that could help with new ones I'm deffinately interested.

    Cheers
