Default 1J Single Turbo Conversion: Vacuum Lines

Hey guys... I'm needing a mud map drawn for me by someone in the know.

The single turbo went onto the 1J today, and tomorrow I have to put in all the vacuum lines. Needless rto say I am completely baffled by this part of the conversion - vacuum lines are still a bit of a mystery ot me... Iknow what some do... but not how to match them all up.

There are two connection points on the Turbosmart 50mm Progate... not sure which is which. Also have a Turbosmart VeePort BOV to connect and a Greddy Profec B-SpecII boost controller to plug into it all.

During the install, I have also noticed a vacuum line that runs behind the rear of the cam covers to the manifold... assuming this was one connected to the factory twin setup... any ideas?

    Cheers in advance

    Tim

Lower port on the wastegate opens it.

Pages 5 onwards for setup in below doc.

That large line that goes around the back of the head is for the ISCV (Idle Speed Control Valve), just put a little filter on it or route it back to before the turbo intake.

    Thanks Wilbo!

What is the small vacuum line that runs behind there? Any idea

I did have a look at the Turbosmart manuals... and yes this sounds noob, but they refer to the vacuum lines from the lower port connecting up to the inlet after the compressor wheel.

The turbo itself doesnt have any connecting point for a vacuum line, and there is nothing anywhere along the induction piping (aside from on the BOV itself, but I doubt that is where it needs to connect for some reason)... do I connect that to the plenum somewhere?... or perhaps its that vacuum line coming around from behind the head?

Anyways... any help shedding light on this would be greatly appreciated

Here's a pic of the lines from around the back of the motor:

Connect? = Coolant lines (So yes connect these )

Filter? = Correct, add a filter or plum back to intake before turbo inlet.

Small line = What used to go to the factory BOV.

Wastegate needs before the throttle body and after turbo compressor output (As turbosmart manuals show), so not from the plenum.

Either drill and tap the turbo compressor cover, or add a fitting to the intercooler piping.
