1uz, Celsior, LS400 help needed

Hey.. my celsior has developed a really annoying issue.

While driving its ok, but once the revs drop below ~1500 the car stutters and hesitates.. unless i get the revs back over 1500 it will stall.

When i park it and leave it running.. it will stall.

When its stuttering etc.. the engine light flickers on..

This begins happening once the car warms up..

So what should i check first...

ok, i just pulled codes...

got a code 31- Air flow meter signal..

now can anyone confirm if it is that obvious.. or can that code mean a whole range of shit..

Disconnect the AFM and try again.
If it runs fine, there is a good chance its the AFM.
If its the same, its very unlikely.

it could just be that the stuttering is causing the AFM to give out strange signals.

If its not the AFM, start by cleaning the ISCV.

spark/fuel related..

i had a look at a couple of plugs and they seemed ok..

fuel filter blocked maybe??

Not fuel. Not spark.
Definitely something in the 'idle' circuit.

Otherwise she'd be fine at idle and die at revs.

It's AFM, haven't had a look at it yet, but I unplugged it and the problem went away... Car idled fine.. Plugged it back in and problem returned..

So I need a new AFM I guess.. Will have a look at it first though..
