    Default options for repairing GT35

    so, this happened:

don't know how/when - took exhaust housing off to get it ceramic coated and found an unhappy sight.

Now I have to figure out my best/cheapest way forward.

The inlet housing is nicely polished, and has the right bends welded on to it, so ideally I'd like to keep that. Am I better off getting this one rebuilt (I think not), or just buying another gt35 and playing swapsies?

Looks melted more so than it's been in contact with something

You could just have the wheel replaced and the assembly rebalanced.

What does the housing look like at that point?

    housing looks like new :\

it's possible it was running lean for a period, as it appears the boost controller got bumped and was running more boost than the car was tuned for for a while.

recommendations for a good turbo person in sydney?

edit: PS, I'm almightilly pissed off as well.

You can try GCG Draven , or MTQ ( they normally more expensive ). Other option is to send it interstate to ATS in Adelaide or Billet up in QLD .

Can't recommend anyone but I've seen damage that looked almost identical to that before from running lean

    cheers Dale.

since she's broken for a bit longer now, and I won't be making the track day, I've figured new injectors and a re-tune are on the cards. May as well *grumbles*
