Hello peoples, once again I have a random question for y'all. Here's what I want to achieve; I have a live axle diff that I want to put an axle in from another diff, now the diff I have runs a wider bearing then the axle I want to put in and the axle has no provision to put the wider bearing on that fits my diff. The current diff bearing although wider then the axle bearing i want to put in, has the same outer diameter and uses the same seal. The diffs are the same width and all offsets on the axles should be the same between the 2. Would it be ok to get an insert machined up to space out the axle seal so it sits right on the narrower bearing? Would an interference fit be sufficient for such a spacer?
Hope my explainings are okayAnyone who's happy to sit and read through all that I'd be keen to hear from

Can you post some pics? As long as the seal od is tight in the housing and the seal sits square, it should be ok.
