sounds awesome but my cars off the road ATM,
who's running it?
yesterday afternoon i received a call from gary at MDTC regarding our track day. unfortunately they have been having a quite a number of issues with the local council and neighbouring residence regarding noise from the track. currently gary has been issued with a noise restriction of 90db, and if he does not meet that then he may be forced to be shut down for good.
so it was a tough decision but it had to made. i know my car(s) are not under 90db so 15-20 making that much noise will certainly bring unneccesary heat down up MDTC which they dont need right now.
next year they hope to have all this sorted out and will be able to run everything and anything at his track with out issue.

Time is priceless yet it costs us nothing. You can do anything you want with it but you can't own it.You can spend it but you can't keep it.And once you've lost it, there is no getting it back, it's just gone."
well it was me craig, but MDTC are having some issues regarding noise limits so have had to cancel the track day unfortunately.

that sucks big time Adam
someone does the right thing for the car community in this state only to be shut down by locals.
Wasn't there an 89dB limit on most events there anyway measured for 3m off track (ie not the exhaust noise level, but a level measuring how much carry the sound has)?
I think that's what it is at WP and Gary moved the same rules to Marulan.
The neighbour would be hard pressed to prove the noise is 'excess' when it's starting with such a low ambient noise level out there. in contrast any noise would seem excessive.
