Does this Audio Plugexist??

I bought an window mounting aerial for the UZS131, its got a spare aerial lead in the boot, however both it and the new aerial lead are both male. Can I get a female female plug or how hard is it to change the plug on the new aerial

Got a pic of the existing male plugs?

I am assuming they look like RCA types? If so, yes you can get female-female connectors. But, need to see the pic of your plug.

It is possible to cut off the exisitng plug and solder in a new one... just need to be careful, but easily do-able. Probably best to use a tail of an existing (or cheap) arial plug and wire it up that way, then heat shrink the outside and she'll be fine.

Cut one of the plugs off and stick one of these on in its place.

Yes same if you find a good window areial im in for one . UZS 131/ MS137 have such shit reception i know .
I have never found a good window one , i mean they all work but just give shit reception when yr only 60 klm from the CBD.

You probably have the FM expander fitted so you can get Aus reception, just plug in an FM booster as well. FWIW the ones Supa Crap sell are better than the JayCar units.

so you don't reckon the whole set up is go chuck?? just the booster??

Well,

I thought I would bring this thread back up to the top, over the last week I made and installed a jaycar kit booster, it worked however not well enough.

In areas where I had poorish reception I now have clear tunes but where I didn't have it before I still don't.

I'm going to try and install the window ariel this week
