4WD Trip to Barrington Tops 12/13 of Dec

Hi everyone,I am keen to head up to Barrington just to camp out and fill in a weekend.Catch a few trout,cook up a good feed in the camp oven and have a few beers.

Where:The Water Gauge camp on the Manning River.
When : The weekend i have most free is December 12th,13th.

The game plan is to arrive at the camp site around lunch to mid arvo on Saturday,set up camp,get the fire sorted and the camp oven underway.

From there you can go explore some of the trails,The Middle Bog trail close by is getting very washed out and as the name says it has some good mud holes.

Or if getting you 4WD stuck or broken is not you thing you can try to catch a trout from the river.The fishing in the river is not to bad it holds mostly Brown Trout around .4kg to 1kg,anything over this is a solid catch in this area.

I will arrange a meet up point closer to the date to most suit everyone and provide a map so you don't get lost.

I hope some of you can make it and don't forget the Mrs and the kids.

Sounds like a great trip - hopefully you get a few there.

Im working that weekend unfortunately, So wont be there.

Would like to chase trout up there some time.

Yeah hope so,as you know i just love my fishing.

It's more about some time out and meeting some new people.

If you ever want to go to Barrington to do some fishing drop me a PM and i will help you catch your first trout on fly,Lure's don't count.
