Yeah its called Dylon - get it from spotlight. you dont really need to soak the carpet you can get away with spraying it on with a squirty bottle and then brushing out any powder when it dries. Works a treat![]()
Hi
my Ke70 has a floor carpet in great condition, but the color is totally gruesome.
I have heard of some kinda coloring thing, where u soak the carpet in a tub and add the color stuff. Anyone know what this is and if its any good?
any other suggestions? i want the finish to be good and decent quality, like i dont want it to turn back to the old color if it gets wet or something.
Thanks for any tips and tricks.![]()

One coat enough?
I'm looking at "rejuvenating' some carpet in a 20 year old car. Light grey is not a good colour for floor carpet in a car, so looking at a darker grey.
I would also need to change some darkish blue (the 80s were great for interior colours), so the same (but this is in the wagon cargo area, so won't be seen as much)
another idea is VHT (other companies do to but VHT is really good) have a vinyl dye that does carpets as well. its kinda expensive $15 or so per can but 2 or 3 cans would be plenty. i changed the carpets in my soarer using it and it was probably a year ago and it still looks great.
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are
