Any reason you don't want a stock LSD? Some of the AE101 and AE111 Levins/Truenos had LSD from factory, can't remember the exact gearbox codes though.
Which LSD should I go for? Kaaz 1.5-way or Cusco Type RS 1-way?
Both are reputable brands and cost is about the same for the two. I'm concerned however that the Kaaz LSD being a 1.5-way might give me a lot of corner entry understeer...
Do anyone have any experience with them?
Cheers!

AE82 - Rosie the Bitsa from Hell, 70.8kw atw. Has been converted into garage space and money at last
KE55 - Billie the Beast, sadly missed
I think it was an odd number or a c at the end of the transaxle code that told you its an lsd box.
EG: The one on my workbench is a C56-04C and as such is an lsd box.

Finally, a members ride thread. I present project One Thing Lead to Another (nominations for a better name are now open)
I haven't been able to locate any code on my gearbox. It has the stock viscous LSD though.
I'll be rebuilding the gearbox for peace of mind and while I'm at it I figure I might as well replace the LSD because it has X miles on it. I don't know the actual mileage because I bought an unseen half cut.
An other reason for going clutch plate LSD is stronger locking and less wheel spin. From what I've read the viscous LSD only start limiting slip once a wheel has actually begun slipping. In that regard I figure a clutch plate LSD will be more efficient.
I read that the Cusco and Kaaz units are stronger and last longer than the factory unit.
