NGK doesn't list a copper version of the spark plug for the 4A-GE..

it lists BKR6EP-8 which is a platinium plug.. can i just fit the BKR6 plugs? or are they BKR6E-11 ?

I've used BCP6ES for years with good results. The last engine needed BCP7ES though, as it ran hotter than a stock engine.

So no one has answered the question? Do these torque specs: mains, con rods, head, cams etc the same for the gze version as I've been searching for ages but can't find any info. Maybe I'm just stoopid but my 4agte is in pieces and almost ready to go back together so I'm starting to get desperate but don't want to start a new thread if it has been covered before. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be forever grateful.

Too easy, Thanks for that it will make life a lot easier.

I also need to know if the piston to bore oil clerance is 0.12 - 0.14mm (gze) as I'm chasing a set of Toyota .50 oversized pistons. Is this the right clerance (was found on here some where) for the over sized pistons?

ps: Mr Revhead, I've sent you an email regarding some parts for my re build

Does anyone know the length of the exhaust ports (from the centre of the valve to the exhaust port gasket face)?
I need it to help me design some custom tuned headers.

NB : This book was published in Aug 1983. Pub No 36230E
Note the torque settings for the head are for VERY VERY VERY early 4AGE bigport

The later 100kw as described in other threads and 29nm then 90 deg and 90 deg again.

Err, just looking at these specs, haven't we lost a main bearing somewhere? *5* main bearings, not 4, of course.

    For the Smallport:

Intake runners measure at 96mm from gasket face to valve seat.
Exhaust runners measure at 82mm from gasket face to valve seat.

Exhaust will be the same for bigport, intake should be close enough.

Could be handy for those designing exhaust or intake manifolds.

Measured up the head on my spare smallport the other day and here is some of the bits i measured:

    Head capacity: 39cc
Cylinder spacing (center to center): 89mm

Feel free to post other measurements as well.
I know... I know a bump from hell.......

but the info is incorrect.... at least a stock chamber is 36cc... NOT 39cc. I've confirmed this on multiple occasions

now... as far as the word "capacity".... I have opened a stock chamber as far as 39cc... so it is kinda accurate... a stock chamber can be opened up to 39cc, but stock uncut is 36cc
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
