Got a 1uz, can I put a b&m shifter on that gearbox???

Hi all, I have a Toyota surf that's on a hilux chassis and has been air bagged and body dropped, it has a 1uz with the 4 speed auto behind it( don't know what it's called), so could I fit a b&m shifter to it
