    Hi,

    See this.....

I'm getting something similar on Trini when I get her back, except it's going to be Baulkham Hills Shopping Centre Car Park... 'cos if you can find your way out, once you get into there, then you deserve respect and some award or moniker to show your skills.

If you ever go there, just make sure you got at least 1/4 a tank of juice to make sure you can get out.... plus you need to be good a mazes.

Anthony's 205 with those wheels and at that ride height looks porn, love it.

That candy red Cobra had spectacular paint, soooo nice.

Thanks for the comments peoples, the car does have a bit of attitude now days but I still think the 205's look like they have been beaten with the ugly stick. Maybe thats the appeal, kinda like a bulldog.....

Had an awesome day, well worth the few k's to get there. I always enjoy catching up with the Canberra brethren for a chat and perv on cool cars.

Oh and I agree, that cobra was stunning. I haven't seen many candy paint jobs that smooth in Australia, let alone on a plastic body. Definitly a car I would trade the GT4 for.

Any time you want it to be..... I reckon anytime someone feels like going for a run in the cars, just post up in the ACT events section to get some interest, doesn't have to be formal hey. There's no better reason than no reason at all to clear the cobwebs from cool cars! Sure beats looking at them in the garage

The pimpest car of the day

and the car that can only be described as sex on wheels.

dang that candy red is good enough to eat.

Once again, great day fellas. I'm definitly gonna drag a few more slack arse Sydney-siders to the event next year.

It was one of the better years for sweet cars for sure.

That Merc was my fave for the day...the Hilux (lowlux) next to it with the suicide doors was pretty cool as well.

I'm going to buck the trend and say that Cobra is OK but too 'bling' for me? Looks like a Xmass tree decoration. Dark blue with white racing stripes is the go Don't rate the bonnet scoop or the toilet door handles used to close it either

205 is looking the goods though.

Any plans while the engine is out for clutch swap?

Cheers Justin, yeah it looks a whole lot tougher with the new suspension in it. I still think they are an odd looking car but it is growing on me.

As for the plans, it's just preventative maintenance type stuff and a tidy up really. I'll do the usual stuff like welsh plugs, rear main, throw out bearing. The timing belt has 80k on it so that will get done and while I'm at it I'll put another water pump on it. Other than that it will just be a good clean of the engine and bay and check everything over, make sure it is all good while access is easy. I'll see what condition the flywheel is in and if it's questionable, I might think about a new lighter one.

I ha've had a couple of wandering thoughts about doing things whilst engine is out but at the moment I really want it back on the road so I can get Frosty tidied up a little.

You know probably better than most, the GT4's straight out of the box are a great car. Whereas the classic celicas look great and thats about where the greatness ends. I need to get Frosty stopping and turning at least as well as a new econobox before I am comfortable driving it too much around Sydney roads.

Yeah i still rate the GrpA 185 as the best looking but the 205 lowered with a lip spoiler has that mongrel toughness about it that i rate highly

3 inch DP perhaps if you don't have one yet and thermal wrap the shit outta everything. Put a heat shield between the IC and cam cover as well. Ceramic coat exhaust manifold, DP and turbine. Constant run mod for the water pump and that's about it unless you want a turbo upgrade All the thermal control mods add up and i found a noticeable power gain but more importantly it was alot more consistent.

Yeah the classics are getting a little long in the tooth but just the basic upgrades usually do the job? springs, shocks and a mild brake upgrade? Steering box is always gonna be the weak link but a bitch to improve.
