Pitman arm for JZS143 info needed: where to order new toyota parts? i'm in NSW

so took the JZS143 into pedders Mascot; where it still is now, apparently the control arms are good (which I thought were stuffed), the pitman arm (usual with crowns) tie rods aren't. according to them the left rear shock is stuffed ( it's making a horrible loud rattle) ..preliminary quote at this stage is:

$900 for the pitman arm + tie rods (apparently they have manufacture everything...unless I could source the pitman arm for cheaper)

$300 for the rear shock ... again they need to find something that works and fits...

Now I know that the final bill ALWAYS is more than the quoted part: so I hope this aint going to be too painful...

I might go and see how much a genuine pitman arm costs? I remember that Castle Hill toyota being the place to call regarding new JDM toyota part prices? And the name James sloan in the parts department?

Will investigate. Any ideas welcome.

Yep, James is very knowledgable and helpful when it comes to imports.

Look up the part numbers at www.toyodiy.com and use Amayama which will give you a price straight away.


Also, those prices may also include fitting so if you are handy with a spanner then you can fit them yourself to save a little and just head back in for a checkover/wheel alignment.

cheers big_zop...can normail retail buyers like us buy directly through amayama directly off that site? or is it best to go through James?
