A shift kit is a modified valve body and I think stronger accumulator springs also.
It will not change your stall speed. You need a higher stall torque converter for that.
Packing the shims and changing the line pressure to H will help but from my experience it isn't as good as a proper shift kit. I have 8mm shims in my car and it shifts quick but not crazy quick if that makes sense.
The manual shift is used where people want to go to aftermarket ecu's and get rid of the stock ecu all together. It is direct so when you change the lever from L to 2 it will change directly then, not when the ecu then decides it would like to. I recommend it for drag racing![]()
