Are all 3sgte AFMs the same?

Just want to know if i am able to use a AFM from a 3SGTE off a SW20 on a ST185 version?

I've tried searching but for the life of me, i can seem to find my answer

Any help would be great

sw20 & st185 is the same generation 3sgte, so yes it will work.

Gen 1 3sgte having an afm
Gen 2 having an afm also, (185 & sw20)
Gen 3 has a map sensor.

Besides there should be hundreds of redundant afm's around with aftermarket ecu's not using them, ask around if that is what your getting at.

as long as you dont get an st185H (RC) afm, they are larger and plugs are different i think.

i'm using an st185 AFM on my sw20. so yeh they work. ecu's swap over for the gen2 motors as well so long as they're from the same revision. there was an ecu swap on the gen2 eng's in 92
