    mocked the carbs up on a spare head and now have a rough idea in my head of how to build hte manifold and how it will all sit in the bay

    those carbs aren't very user friendly or easy to get parts for

    Also subscribed.... Ive been toying with the thought of doing the same to a NA 2J with a set of aggressive cams.

    Agreed, it's almost worth forking out some dollars to get 3 webers if only to save yourself hassles later on.

    they can be, but not if u know the right people. old man still has heaps of dellorto bits from his lotus days and still runs them on the crx so has tuning parts etc available.

    also simon, have u been to morris minor aust in moorabin? (he has lots of bits for the mini) the guy there has shitloads of dellorto parts/complete carbs (last time i checked -heading down there soonish to get the third carb)

    have started sourcing some 40mm stainless bends to make trumpets out of & looking into fuel pump options. at this stage will be looking at a holley red or similar carter running out of a 2ish litre surge tank.


    have also almost finished stripping the interior and a willans 4 point harness went in late last nite. now just need a seat and some slicks and i can go racing

    Yeah, i have been there a few times. Thorpe and Mark are good blokes. Thorpe has an epic comb-over.
