I use both on my cars, and havnt had any abnormal failures either way. The only failuure i have ever had was an oil line rubbing against a manifold and abrading the line enough so that it was leaking by the time the car got back to Parc de Ferme. But that would have happened with either method of construction.

Some people swear by the Enzed job, while others swear by the DIY methods. Personally i will go to whoever can supply the bits. So my remote oil pressure bits are Enzed, while the fueling system is DIY. Completely down to parts availability.

i know a few people with reletively quick cars (8sec/10sec etc) and they have run braided with out a problem. i was just talkin to my mate who i work with (8sec rx3) and he said that once you actullay get the speedflow lines on the fittings you'll "break your wrists trying to get them off".
i've seen the enzed crush jobs, they seem pretty good, but even the enzed v8 supercar runs the speedflow stuff

Yeah, but there have been a few big failures with speedflow gear that i can remember. The biggest one being a guy on PF (http://www.performanceforums.com/for...php?t=67200839) who had a FPR mounted off a single fitting and it broke. Theoretically the Enzed gear woudl be a bit more durable being stainless steel.

Either way its a good thing.

    i feel that.
either way it's better than running normal rubber lines.

EDIT: sweet jesus that is a nice engine bay in the link!

We have tried several methods/sizes for return lines to the sump on the 4AGTE and the stock cooler return fitting just didn't work for position (both height and location) and diameter.

There was thread about all the people who had oil drainage issues on their 4AGTE setups somewhere on this forum or maybe the old one and the height of the drain position was a big issue on most of the smokey examples.

indeed, the factory oil cooler return by memory isnt big enough in diameter to offer the best turbo oil return. i got brazed a 5/8" pipe a little higher up than the cooler return, though you can go higher, it's not by a great deal.

Use some anti-seize on the thread when doing you do them up, It usualy makes it easier to pull things apart again. However I don't know whether you can use it in this situation, you probably should check first.
One of these days I'll get around to fixing that enlarged paperweight known as an AW11, or make cupcakes, whichever comes first.

This isnt about the thread getting stuck but the push-lock doing what it is supposed to do. It is supposed to be almost impossible to get them off.
I normally have to cut mine off if i change things.

thats it. once it's on you dont want to be able to get it off.
that ring i though looks pretty on the speedflow fittings is acutllay a lock ring, so even if the hose moves down the bar, it cant get and bigger over the barb because the ring wont allow it.

The paranoid of us still use hose clamps though.

Probably very little, but as you say it is another good safety measure.
