Hi,
What exactly do you mean by the dipstick leaks at the bottom?
Are you referring to the actual tube the dipstick goes into, and it leaks oil where this tube is mated to the engine?

hey guys, need abit of help with the bottom of my dipstick ( 1j from jza70 ) not sealing
as i have a custom made inlet maniold theres no way to bolt the dipstick in place to hold it firmly in place and must leak under boost. i have tried o-rings but they seem to not work
if worst come to worst and i wanted to "glue" the bottom of the dipstick shaft in, what would you guys reccomend to do so? i was thinking some kind of metal epoxy. basically just a fix and forget solution. ( there will be no need to remove it after )
the top of the dipstick will just be secured with cable ties to surrounding iscv/fuel hoses, either in the stock position or towards the front near the TB

yes, the dipstick tube itself. has an o ring at the bottom.. well it did. but must of fell in the last time i pushed it through the hole
( even with the oring on the shaft just moves around and with the slightest pull up it pops again because theres nothing holding it )
i guess some kind of high temp silicon could be used but it wont exactly hold it firmly in place
Edit: all fixed. used a metal epoxy based putty cost $15 odd, seems to have worked perfectly
