    Default Wolf 3D scrambled display

    Hi,

I recently started up my wolf 3d ver 4 powered 3sge ta23 and the display on the handset was scrambled, total garbage. It was pretty cold this morning, but I am not sure if that would have caused it. It wasnt LCD dithering, it was actaul garbage characters on the screen, anybody ever seen or heard of anything like it? Might take it back to the wolf boys and see what they say.

    Is it brand new?

I'd go through the boot up sequence of the wolf again (including hand controller) to see if it's a boot up issue.

Boot the hand controller without the serial cable connected. See what happens.. Just try and boot everything up clean.

If it still doesn't work, then there'd be something wrong with it.

I actualy only drove it to the exhaust shop today. When I returned to pick her up the display was all good once more. So I am guessing it might have been the cold, or the cable not stuck in just right. I think that white block that goes around the cable might have come loose too.

A serial cable being only slightly lose can most definately cause those problems.

if i remember correctly if you plug the hand controller in after the ecu is turned on then it gives you scrambled screens (it was a while ago that i actually started my car so i could be getting confused)

Aye, the old trick is jiggle the cable and turn it off and then on again.

Yeah I think it is that toggle thing that goes around the connector, I will test and see, cause the screen is buggered again.
