    Nathan.

Yes you will need a gasket on each side of the spacer. A lot the time the spacers retain the original gasket material in good condition, so check if they are still there and are ok.

New gaskets are hard to come by and if anyone can help me with a diffinative source I would be glad too.

YGT04A, I can pass you samples and must chat to you about this bloke.

If you need to make some there is available sheets of grey gasket material suitable for fuel listed at some of the Auto Parts places. I ended up at one of the lesser known parts places here in the ACT for my material. Try Repco and ask. Then use the spacers as templates.

Might have to cut some. Thanks Rodger.

There is a channel in the spacer??... cut or dont cut? or just have the channel above the paper?

    Cheers

The slot/groove in the spacer is for the balance/polution reduction tube to gain access to both barrels and is about 8mm wide and half the depth of the spacer.
The gasket can remain whole, it will help to hold the gasket together.

Gaskets are prefered as it makes getting the carbs and spacers off the manifold a lot easier.

Any of the gasket goos can be used on each side instead, but a bit messy and of course the parts tend to stick. There is not a lot of pressure difference in the manifold and the bolts do not need to get that tight to have to "really" seal it up.
