3T-GTE hard to start

my car is very hard to start especialy in the cold. This has just recently happened. When you crank it, it turns like there is to much comppression then for like 2 strokes then will turn like normal for a while around 5 sec then start and run crappy for couple of secs. Do i need new spark plugs?

Is it using coolant? Could be a blown head gasket? Overheated recently?

You seem to be having some dramas with this running, going by other threads you have posted, maybe time it got booked into a workshop. Sorry can't be more help.

Have you checked the ignition timing?

yes, this engine has something wrong with it everytime. ever since the conversion in 2001, it has never missed a beat untill now, only minnor things went wrong, such as stuff turbo, vl fuel pump died and recently poped my oil filter off. The car is fine once warm, just idles jump a bit like a lumpy idle. Checked the engine, no loss of water or water in engine.
