Default Phrostbytes Dedication Cruise - 22/04/06

    And the time starts.... NOW

Everyone has about 2 weeks to get their rustbuckets, non working motors, no RWC, no rego and all that up to scratch. No excuses. We've all somehow scrapped through it before in previous meets, caught a lift with a mate but i think now's a good time than ever to put some wrench and paint work in.

I've scouted ahead on the other forums such as ae86drivingclub, twincam.org, rollaclub and it doesn't look very organised nor do they have an idea about the numbers.

    http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index...pic=6940&st=15
    http://www.twincam.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=17255

So, here's what we're going to do.

da horse (the king of koi) has pointed out because rollaclub has people meeting up at david jones at chadstone... on a saturday... i think we'll avoid a confusion, explicit phonecalls, angry drivers and make our meet at a nice quiet park.

Having said that, i think it's best we go back to our roots.
Brickmaker's Park. I'm having some doubts about the availability of BBQ's at Arthurs Seat so what do you all think about a light lunch before we shoot off?

    Please enter:

Name / Car / Engine / And what you're bringing to the BBQ. I don't expect any more than about $10-15 cuz last time we had too much.

    Fujiwara_ToFu - AE86 / 4AGE - Sasuages & Bread (And condiments) etc

I've written up a rough Itinerary that MAY change depending on what the other forums finally decide on. Parking is a plenty and i'll screenshoot Brickmakers for all those who are new.

Every car wearing a Toyota badge is welcome.... even the cars that are not.

    ----------------------------------------------------

10am - 11am - Arrival... Stamford Rd, Oakleigh - Brickmaker's Park. Off Princes Hwy and Ferntree Fully Road junction.

11:30am - We fire up the barbie while 3 of us cook and the others check out what's under eahc others bonnets.

12pm - Approx 2pm - We pack up and prepare to leave brickmakers.
2:30pm - We go through Princes Hwy, Turn right at Westall Rd and pass through Westall FWY, and cut into Springvale Rd.... we then make a left into FRANKSTON FWY get off at NAPEAN HWY where we'll make our way to the summit.

We probably dont need a rest stop cuz we'll leave from a place where we're pretty full and where there's toilets in the park.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
    Questions?

    [email protected] or PM me.

If someone from the other forums wants to give me the heads up, aside from madness at the meet up at chadstone let me know.

We could meet the other car clubs there at Arthur's Seat unless of course they want to leave with us?

+ White ribbons for our cars (thanks clubagreenie)
+ Small donation to the Gibbs family money tin? Who wants to be treasurer?
+ Video documentary with some question & answers and memories for the Gibbs family.

    What do you all think?

if i have a car available - ill be there

may i also suggest a gold coin donation to his family - or to help the other boys finish his project ?

I think either would befit the kid , and his enthusiasm toward toy-modding

    Sam_Q - AE86 - 4AGE 20V - drinks and plastic cups

    and my friend:

    Phil D - RA28 - 18RG - ?

    will there be enough parking?

also even $10 sounds like way more than what we would need to me.

    Sam,

We had enough to accomodate the last meet i had back in early 2005.
    About 20 odd cars.

If the other forums show up and depending on their number this might be a problem.
But not as problematic as 20 Rollaclub cars trying to find David Jones parking in chadstone on a saturday.

I've left some leighway for them to get in touch with me otherwise there's nothing i can do about it because i didn't organise it. We will meet them at Arthur's seat and that's a minimum. Perhaps it's a good idea for one of the toymodders to let the other forums know what's the go because i haven't registered and might seem a bit intrusive that i bombard their cruise with my ideas.
