does anyone in syd have an accurate weighing device? I've got supra 4-pots on hubs at the moment, and could very easily do all these measurements while waiting for my f!*king car to arrive :\

dude just use some kitchen scales, they will be accurate enough for a vast majority of us on here
unfortunately I'm a hetro male, and do not own these
so am i and the hot girl next door didn't mind me borrowing them "to bake a cake for my mum"
she said "ooooh you're oh so sexy that you care that much about your mum"
to which i replied...."yeah i know, hey nice shoes by the way"
then she replied "yes"
nice shoes?
you could have just said "don't bother, I'm gay"
compliment pants, shirt or necklace - shows you were checking her out without being sleazy
that thought definately wouldn't have been going through her head 1 and a half hours later....and i got to measure my brake calipers with her kitchen scales....after i cleaned the benchtop.
Nice job. More should be posted like the first two. Newer Celica, etc.
I have a set of R33 GTR front calipers, real Brembo. Would you like pics and dimensions of them?
Interesting to note is that the rear caliper mounting holes on a MA6x is 160mm center to center. Just 8mm smaller than what you posted on the RX7 calipers. Too bad they would have been a nice upgrade for the rear on a MA6x.

Hey, I'm hetro but married just bring them over or give to ED, they've been used for the UZ anyway. And she can't complain, they're my scales.Originally Posted by Draven

Yus please on the pics, dimensions and weights.Originally Posted by rsdeo
and it would be even more interesting for you to note it is actually 158mm not 168mm, so it is actually only 2mm different (the caliper mounting points being smaller)...does that make it less of a shame?

Nice thing about them is they leave more room for wheel spokes.
I thought it said 168mm on the pic. I should have looked closer. Are you sure it isn't 160mm? Did you try the RX7 calipers on the rear of a MA6x? Who knows? It might just fit. 158mm seems off, all other calipers on jap cars seem to have those mounting dimensions to an even 10.
Please try it. It would be a cheap rear upgrade because there would be no need to fabricate an adapter bracket. Just need to find the right disc.
unfortunately the calipers have been moved on and i don't have a xa6x to test with.
I measured it about 3 times with my ruler because i wanted so desperately for it to be an even number but i couldn't fudge the ruler to look correct
although it was just a simple measuring device..to give a general idea, hopefully my measurment is out for that bit
Cool1 should have a pair lying around, he could verify the distance for all...actually i will post on ausrotary and find out if it is correct...bear with me.
Cool1's are probably broken...

I've got a set of brembo evo 8 calipers I'm using on my ra28 which i would love to share but I don't have the programs or the skills to mark out the dimensions on my computer. If some one could mark them out for me I'll supply the photos and measurements.
Alex
send em this way matey if you like...
