Adaptronic isn't really a new product...the one in my car was an 06 build, and they still provided fantastic support for it (like free updates, including me sending the ECU to them, having slightly updated hardware installed, a full diagnostics, and return shipping, all for nix...and i got it back 2 days after I sent it)

3 years old man, thats newer than new haha, and you got it back so fast becuase they only have 3 years of ecu's out there.

they seem pretty good on paper and from the responses people give but most are on simple systems.
id give one a shot but if i dont tune it i dont know who would want to.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.

The E420's about 5 years old actually, the the E1280 looks to be a much better unit in terms of build quality (uses a nissan ECU socket now instead of the cheap stuff used on the E420) but that would also be way out of price range. One of their specialties is the ability to be used on more complex setups without having to butcher factory triggers etc. The main downside to the E420's IMO is the lack of outputs and the tuning interface isn't as customisable as some others.

To me, the main advantage is the self-tune option, means that for a street car the fuel consumption is much, much better If you're after a cheaper alternative, I've got an EMS stinger you can have

    adaptronic.
i just ran my JZZ30 1JZ in my cressida to 308 rwkw on the 420c unit.
and my tuner loved it. and he is a motec dealer and haltech installer. its the first car he has tuned with the adapt product.
EMS ,MicroLeb and Megashit ( i mean squirt my bad) dont have shit on it.
had all three also .... so my opinion is not biast.

i did my research before i got the 420 unit. and its leagues ahead.

ring the guys and have a talk to them.

    cheers
