    Is300 here has a non turbo 2j
    It has security
I'm pretty sure when u get around 2000 model they tend to have security
But just incase I'm talking bout 2j vvti in general
    Not jzs155 specific

jzs179's (2jz-ge) and jzs171 (1jz-gte) don't have security for some reason - though they are 1999-2001, and even uzs175 (same years) does have security

besides, in general jzx100/jzs150 series are quite different from jce10/sc300 . single o2 sensor, map instead of maf, no security to name a few

    yes they do vary alot
i dont normally learn which model cars they come from
i just look at my hand drawn diagrams and wire them up to suit
im to lazy to write ecu part number and model of car on my diagrams
i think i should stop being lazy

hey george if u have an 1uz vvti ecus im willing to pay up to 230 bucks posted

There's some in mate's garage but I don't know at the moment if there's more ecu's than engines, also don't know what airmail would take

What I do have for sale is spare uzs175 ecu I used for training with immo system. I bought it for $40, it was reported as not seeing speed sensor but as I could see it's fine for running engine on floor. Also note uzs175 has very different pinout

    Ok cool
    I would prefer a ucf20/21 vvti ecu
So if your friend has any let me know
I'm half way thru making a bench testing loom
I hope I can just use one injector and one coil
    But will see
I checked freight from here to Russia and basic air freight is around 40 bucks
I might just get one from USA for around 200 bucks landed here

Thanks for all the great information. According to Toyodiy.com the JZS155 GE VVTI motors share the same rods as the TT Supra's and the same rings as the OBD1 SC300. This is very interesting considering the IS300 came with weaker rods and rings that give out north of 400whp.

This discovery has made me choose this motor over a GTE VVTi due to the initial cost being 1500 cheaper and the ability to source replacement heads and blocks for dirt cheap versus shelling out 2k for a new motorset in the event of engine failure. I plan on switching to a TT headgasket and building an NA-T setup with the 1500 savings.

I'm wondering if the map based ecu will be more boost friendly unlike their usdm maf counterparts. I plan on running an E-manage Ultimate for tuning. Has anyone had experience in boosting the JZS155 motor and ECU?

seriously if u are just going to save 1500 bucks i would have bought a 2jzgte
long term i recon its better to start with a turbo motor than do it on the cheap and turbo charge an NA motor
