Surely you could just swap over the whole ecu and loom from the jza70 half cut to the ga70.
A mates got a GA70 that hes got a jza70 auto frontcut for the conversion. question is the ga70 was manual ( yes why wouldnt he just keep the car manual? he wants auto ) how hard is it to wire up the auto trans?? i have done the conversion before in my supra but i used the r154. never touched the auto's.
Surely you could just swap over the whole ecu and loom from the jza70 half cut to the ga70.
okay thanks! but after getting off the phone to him i thought he said he got a auto frontcut but he only got ex jza70 1jz with auto box and all the bits soo that means hes only got the main engine loom, ecu ect is it still possible to get the auto running easy enough?
I persume its an A340 trans
I think they run a seperate ecu
you could create a switch system that activated the solinoids, effectively manualy shift it?
A340s have 3 solinoids, 2 for shifts 1 for lockup( for certain models)
We have a box (switch box) at work we use to manualy control the auto so to eliminate the cars trans ecu for fault finding.
Ive wired up a few jza70 ecu's. The auto's controlled by the main engine ECU
The main engine loom has the auto plugs on it running down the back of the engine, unless someones cut them off. Should basically be a plug in affair concerning the auto, only wires he should have worry about are the ones in the body plug speedo wires, OD switch etc.
