Default Is this normal? Loose wheel studs

    Hi,
Got around to taking my wheels off last night and noticed about 1-2mm play in my front wheel studs. When you hold one stud and move it left or right the other 4 follow. It's only in my front two wheels. The rear wheels have the same 1-2mm gap around each stud but don't move, (brakes holding it? nfi)

Is there anything I should be tightening or is it ok as it is?

    Car is a GX81.

    Thanks for any help.

Studs are fixed to the hub, so they all move together when spun.

Disc slips over hubs and is only held on by the wheel (and the caliper when the wheel is off).

Surface rust is probably keeping the disc and hub firmly mated on the rear. The fronts are probably not as rusted and therefore free moving.

You're just describing the movement of the studs in the disc not in the hub.

For disc over hub setups its normal for the holes in the disc to be slightly larger than the stud diameter.

If the handbrake is on, the rear wont move.

As everyone else has said. The movement at the front is normal.
