TA22 Dash

Anyone know how to get a good TA22 dash pad off the steel dash frame without wrecking it as it may be glued.

The underside of the dashpad uses little pins that come through the metal frame. Once through, the pins have metal clips with teeth slide over them and keep the dash tight against the frame - so to remove the dash you need to remove the clips.

I found when removing mine it wouldnt move high enough to get the pins out and was hitting on the windscreen.

after removing the pins, i used a scraper before trying to lift the dash pad. this allowed me to seperate the dash from the frame without lifting it and potentially cracking the dash pad...

Best of all do the removal on a hot day. The dash pad is a bit more flexible and the glue gives a bit more.
