I had to put Kedderz' old Gamblers with pretty new tyres onto the car so that i could atleast drive it around.

Kedderz just won't even turn up now

Took out the alternator from the tt142 today, thermostat is rusted shut and the gasket is leaking hence the dead alternator. I should be able to have it back and running tommorrow providing a 2t/2tg thermostat+gasket is the same, Im sure Mal at phillip toyota will know.
