Urgent help needed, Dubbo Tomorrow!!!

As some would be aware I destroyed my W58 at WSID last night. After a few late night phone calls I sourced another from Ed and put it in this morning/afternoon.
It has a couple of issues. it seems to randomly crunch going into/pop out of 4th (although it isnt noisy when it does finally go in and doesnt do it every time) and although I put the speedo drive from my old box in, (witzl has the one from the new box) I have no speedo Anyone got any ideas on either of these????
The speedo cable and 90 degree adaptor thing AND little lugs are all there. My W58 was a steel sandwich and the new one is alloy if it makes a difference.

does it atleast work enough to get you to dubbo? what did you do to the old box?

Yeah, saw that thread, perhaps my old box was a 55? Are they physically identical to each other? Because aside from the steel plate (yours is alloy) they look exactly the same. Mine has a mega munched 1st and 2nd gear (at least, didnt have any way of trying the higher ones).
It should get to dubbo, aside from this problem it's very smooth, just have to skip 4th, 1/8 mile drags wont see me out of 3rd anyway
