A simple question from a simple man, or something like that.
I've purchased some G70 nulon for the W55 gearbox in my rt142 corona and I can't find the hole in the box to put in the G70 i.e. where in the **** is the filler hole bolt nut thingy ?????

you still need to open the filler nut as you need to know when it reach the max level![]()
^^^^ Correct
Thanks for the advice Jordan, but, I really do need to know where the filler plug is for future reference if nothing else.
The filler plug is on the passenger side of box, about 5 inches rear of the bellhousing, not even halfway up the side. 17mm ring spanner will do the trick.
cheers Chuck.

I'd noticed 410 early in the day, but, it didn't and still doesn't look like you can get a decent size finger through the hole to check the oil level. My 410's rounded off though it does have a decent nick in it where someone's whacked it with something to presumably loosen it. I'll do the same tommorrow.
Thanks for all the help men. Appreciated.
Trevor
don't drain it til you get that filler bolt undone, as if you can't get it you can still drive the car some where to get it out.
fill it through the shifter hole and wait for the oil to over flow out the filler hole

use a cold chisel or centre punch to get it loose, then repair/replace it. you should be able to get another one from either an auto spares shop, or a brass one from a toolshop/nuts and bolts store.![]()
beer me!
also, just use the bent end of an allen key to check the oil level
beer me!
^^^^ Wish I'd have thought of that.
Got the job done yesterday so now just have to wait and see what G70 does, if anything. Thanks again for all the replies.
