    Default toyota engine for ra28

    hi...

    can anybody recommend on what toyota engine shall i put on a ra28 fastback engine...i prefer efi.i dislike 6 cyl engines by the way

    im afraid 2j is a 6 cyl...i just want 4 cyl for daily drive and for easy maintenace

    Then stay with the R series.
    Install a 22R-E.

    4agze=factory supercharged
    4agte=fabricate turbo manifold & exhaust and probably intake side as well

    1G-GTE out of a GZ20 Soarer

    I know you said you don't want to use a 6cyl but the 1G has been done so many times before, and is a proven performer, even as a daily driver.

    They also look at home in the Celica engine bay.
    Past Toyotas - Snow White (TA23), Blue Stivo (ZZE123)
    Current Toyotas - Hamster (AW11)

    considering that ra28 is heavier than the celica coupe 1st gens.

    yeah 1g are good for celicas but the reason i dont want to put 6 cyl engine is bcause it requires additional modification on the suspension and brake system in which im not in favor as of the moment

    BEAMS and a 6 speed....

    clean, modern, Toyota, non 6, should make a good pairing

    2.7L efi 4cyl 3rzfe from a (97?) onwards Hi-Lux

    Totally mad motor pushing enuff kw n torque to keep most 22/23/28 owners happy !
