my set had two each side.
ive always bolted the turbos to the dump first, then the turbos to the exhaust manifolds, the manifolds have a lot more give and can afford to be slightly out.
Can anyone tell me if you need one gasket per turbo or two each side of the dump pipe??
I just converted my mx83 to jzx83 and when I did up the bolts on one side of the dump with one gasket there was a 5 - 10mm gap on the other side.
So i made some cereal box gaskets and put a piece each side of the steel gasket and it was tight fit.( this was a temporary fix)
Is there a difference between the 1jz dumps at all?? Have I got the wrong one??
I'm going to pull the turbos completly off and put them back on, will this solve my problem or is there more to it??

Thats what I thought when i first test fitted the dump pipe. Now I need 2 more gaskets.
Contacted toyota on friday they got some coming from japan in 3 weeks.
i had 2 each side when i removed the stock dumps to fit some aftermarket dumps. only used 1 on each after that. car hasnt leaked in 8 months of driving
I have a loads of 1JZ gaskets if you want some. In noosa.
Can I get 2 turbo dump gaskets off ya then? I'm down on the Goldy.Originally Posted by jzk25
Let me know how much you want.
You can have them but you will have to arrange the pickup.
Thats too much of a drive for such small items. I dont need them now as i cut a piece of 4mm flat Ally to shape of gasket and inserted.
Works good no leak now.
I cant wait to switch to big single turbo!!
