Hi,
A continuous flash means there is no error codes.
Well warmed up the car switched off car then turned to pre ignition start and DID NOT START the engine and shorted the T and E terminals in the diagnostic box.
What I got was one continus flash with NO 2.5 or 4.5 second gaps.
Is this the normal 1. flash I'm after as I would have tought a 1 code would be
1 flash.....4.5secs .......1 flash..........4.5secs........1 flash.

Thanks lad thats good news.Originally Posted by Z2TT
The 'normal operation' flash is 1 flash every 3 seconds according to the Toyota TCCS manual.
You were getting a code 1 which is all systems normal.

Scroll down to the reference section, you'll find the TCCS manual for the 4AGE (it's the same for 4AGZE) as a .pdf.

On page 4 there is a diagram showing a 2 digit code 1..... and a 1 digit code1Originally Posted by wilbo666
There seems to be two different code 1's.
2 digit code =A continous flash with only a 0.26 second gap and a
1 digit code =1 flash with a 4.5 second gap followed by another 1 flash.
Is this just a variable of the one flash code but difers from one toyota model to another............
What I have is a 1 flash - 0.26 sec-1 flash - 0.26 sec. and so on and so on it does not stop for any other length of time only 0.26 secs

Yep, depends on model.
You got a 2 digit version of the Code 1, which means you're still all OK.![]()
