hi trev
you would need more than 6 cars per team
4hr stints would be tough
maybe we could have a drive through coffee shop
Just a bit of early information, there is planning underway to run a 24 relay event at Winton during Easter 2010.
The rules will be similar to that of the AROCA 6 hour held at Winton.
More info as it comes to hand. Stay tuned.![]()

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
6 cars should be OK, I don't think the numbers have been set yet.
Winton under lights is pretty spectatular, a 24 hour has been done at Winton a few times before.
If you are concerned about the team numbers, have a think about officials numbers - YIKES!!!
Also, the long track can't be run between 6pm and 8am, it will changed to the short track under safety car for that duration, there is a challenge as well.
that will cut down the nominated lap times
have you comnsidered a 12 hour as the first step

There is a bit of history behind this decision, check you PM's
hmmm
nothing that cant be overcome
it would be a great national event
if we could get a team of drunk, disco pissing football players in a team , you could get publicity from now untill 2010

My poor little Corolla would need a good lie down after 4 hours at Winton! Seeing those clubmans appear out of no where when they are just a pair of headlights would be a challenge too!
Damn it, I'll be overseas when this is on...
Would be a hard decision between this and the Nationals in Dubbo if I were around anyway... No matter.
we can do two things simon
1 change the 24 hr date
2 change your wedding date
seing that fireproof suits are not mandatory for thr 24 hr
you can drive in your wedding suit ,
another thought
why not have your wedding at winton
seing that we are already, there so you have not got the booking fee
the rotary club can do the catering
and you can be whisked off in the safety car to a honeymoon suite in the track camping area win win all round , also we can race our team with the white bridal ribbons on them

I will start saving...
It looks like the teams might be of 10 drivers/cars and about $3000 per team entry (not confirmed yet)
