    Default Easy 4AGE/AW11 Related Questions

All questions are about an early bigport (3 rib, AFM) AW11.

    1. I've removed EGR. Manifold is blocked off, new extractors are on the car. Is it going to throw any sort of ECU errors or run like a dog?
    2. I've removed air con (all lines, compressor, brackets, etc). I've bridged a sensor in the front of the car, the thermo fans no longer come on when ignition is on. Is this all I have to do for the car to run properly?
    3. Was my car the only one to come with a factory oil-water cooler? I don't remember seeing a cooler on other FWD 4AGE setups. No real reason I'm asking, just curious.
    4. How am I going to implement a remote filter/aftermarket oil cooler? I was thinking to ditch all the factory stuff, remove the factory sandwich plate, run a universal relocator kit, mount the cooler where the air comes in behind the drivers door and run a large pull-type fan behind the cooler. If you know of any better setups, let me know.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.

3 - FWD 4AGEs (some?? all??) came with bypass oil coolers too. An adaptor block with a thermostat that bypassed some oil to the cooler then the sump when above temp.
4 - Unless the filter is really hard to get to now (or there's some other reason to move it), I'd consider leaving the filter in place and just installing a remote cooler.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

I'm moving the filter because it's a pain in the arse to get to (not looking forward to lifting the car up without a hoist whenever I want to change it), I want a bit more room for big primary pipes for extractors when the supercharger goes on and if I'm doing a cooler without remote setup I will need a sandwich plate, meaning less room at the back of the block.
    Cheers.
