Default RA65 vs RT142 Avante: Subframe + Handbrake

I have to replace the rear sub frame in my RA65 and I'm also doing a disk rear end conversion, so it would be easier to get it out of the same car. I am aware the disks are not vented on the avante, where they are on a MX73.

Now, my question is: Are the sub frames the same length and swing arm mounts in the same place?

    Thanks,
    marvis.

there's a 'SA63' in down here that has a corona rear subframe, MOOKIE would know more about this for sure.

Well by the sounds of that they are the same. The MX73 sub frame has around 20mm more track and doesn't work as the spring is unable to seat correctly.

mx73 is f series, ra65 is f series irs, rt142 is f series irs, sa63 is t series irs. marvis is only talking about the f series rear ends, so it shouldn't have anything to do with an sa63, unless somebody transplanted the f series into one. from what i've read marvis ra65 and rt142 rear ends are the same width-wise

RT142,RA65,SA63 and MA61 all will swap with each other.

If you want to have a vented rear rotors you will need some MA61 calapers and MX73 rotors.

You have to machine out the rotor to clear the handbrake shoes god knows why its bigger on a RT142.

    Cheers Case

Does anyone know if the RT142 Handbrake cable will work with the disk rear end?

    Thanks,
    marvis.

    Just to add my 2c.

RT142 will bolt in to RA65 perfect (I've done it)

SA63 is T series as opposed to F series so avoid that like the plague. You F series tailshaft will also be too long if you use it.

    Cheers

Might give them a try as I am having issues tracking down MA61 items.
