hi everyone another brain teaser for you
ok so my fuel gauge stopped working a few months ago originally i thought it was the gauge itself so i just got a new one shipped from sleeka spares today.
installed it everything else seems to be working except for the fuel gauge needle![]()
i pulled the sender out and put a m/meter on the connection and on the other side of the coil no connection was possible. i inspected the coil futher and noticed it was fried on the end so i undid one coil cut it off cleaned it up and soldered it back. works fine![]()
now my question to you guys is will that 1 less coil make much of a difference to the accuracy of the fuel gauge? i know they arnt the most accurate gauges anyway but will it affect it that much?
also in the hunt for a new sender just incase this backyard bodge job fails so if you know anyone or you have one send me a pm with details and ill get back to you
cheers guys ur fb is appreciated
