Default RT132 Corona suspension set up, RA40's have the same springs?

Hi there, im looking for a suspension set up for a RT132 Corona. I manly use the car as a daily and for hill climbs, cruise ect. The set-up on it now is stock at the front and pedder's sports rider springs and shocksin the rear. The car currently is powered by a 3T-GTE. I have researched and XT130's have similler or same set up but not to sure. Any ideas will be great help thanks.

Look for the Peugot rotor, Hilux caliper, Corona strut brake upgrade threads. Plenty of info on converting your struts for use in other cars and suspension upgrades done so there should be some good stuff for you there.

How much money do you want to spend?

You can buy Koni inserts that slip straight into your strut insert and then some King Springs on the front and you would have a pretty good roadie/hillclimber I reckon.

If you wanted to spend less, the KYB Excel-G insert is well regarded here. Again combine it with the King Spring (or something similar) and away you go.

There is actually this set up for sale in the classifieds at the moment. You could buy that and then swap it straight into your car, and then sell off the struts from your car to get some of the spend back.

This suspension setup with Hilux Calipers and Peugeot Discs would be perfect for what you're after.

Not suggesting you buy it, just giving genuine advice.

Also, XT130 as it has smaller calipers than the RT132, so you wouldn't want to do that.

Another alternative is to purchase a HSD coil over conversion kit from Otomoto (forum sponsor) They are a good thing! Then you can get some shorter Koni or KYB inserts and shorten the strut housing for a lower ride height.

Yes the KYB's and Kings are a good budget option and will be a little lower. The KYB's are not short stroke, but do seem to cope OK with it as its been run by a few people here.

XT 130 and RT 132 share the same suspension except the 132 runs twin spot calipers and 130 runs single. All interchangable.
    Cheers Brett.
