Default Toyota Fest 2009 - ACT Thread: Sydney, 4th October 2009

Starting a thread to gauge interest from the ACT fraternity in attending the Toymods Toyota Fest in Sydney from Saturday October 3rd till Thursday October 8th, 2009. There is hope that a couple of WA cars will be freighted over to Adelaide, and then driven into Sydney via Melbourne and Canberra, so we're able to convoy if there are other cars planing on going too?!

We usually travel via Canberra from Melbourne, crash at a fellow Toymodder's house for the night, then onto Sydney for the Fest the next day.

I take it upon myself to organise a group accom rate for those of us staying in Sydney, which usually works out to approx $50 per person per night, and we stay in inner Sydney to make access to transport, and tourist stuff easy. 24hr secure car parking is also available with the accom for those of you bringing cars too.

So, I'm looking for interest and/or numbers from you lot, let me know who's in or interested?

Hi Clint. Ill be going for the day in Tweety but not entering as im not leaving at 5am to get there for registration etc. We usually have at least a few cars go or the day and a few cars overnighting. So with a bit of promotion we will get at least a few more day trippers.
    Cheers

For some reason the Celica boys like to stop at every truck stop and public toilet along the way, so it makes for a long trip.

I'll head up early enough to arrive and enter, I'm sure a few people will be keen.

Im keen to loose my toyotafest "V" plates this year...with the 205 naturally.

How do interstate people usually work it. Stay in the syd/act area the night before somewhere then get there early on the day? There is a dinner and shit that night yes?

Cuts, ACT is about 3 hours from Toyfest so only the people who live here do the morning drive up, if you're coming up from Tas you'll be best of heading to Sydney the day before or earlier with Clint et al.

Yeah dinner is on that night or the night after, Im not sure which night Dave is doing it this year.

Its a really good night out and one I think people should hang around for. If people from the ACT wanted to go to the dinner I can offer floor space at my folks place.

Dinner is the Sunday night and the Monday is a public holiday.

I think some ACT should stay for the dinner
