    Default 2jz-ge into corona

Hey guys helping a mate wire his 2jzge into his corona, are there any things to be looking out for? Or is it just a matter of plugging everything in, putting battery to the BAT terminal, shorting the neutral wires together so it will start, putting start signal to the start wire on ecu and wiring in fuel pump off ecu? or is there more to it that that?

    Cheers

Err.. yes and no... if you posted a little more detail then people may be able to offer you more help.

Things like what car the 2JZ came out of, what car it's going in to, what transmission will you run, does it have a complete wiring harness etc. would help.

If you've got the complete loom out of the Soarer then most of the work is done for you.

As you mentioned, you will have to bridge the NSS (Neutral Safety Switch) for the ECU to 'know' when the motor is being cranked.

You will also need to reconnect the power sources at your fuse box (ignition power, starter relay etc. etc.)

Most of the remaining wires will be for your dash and air conditioning.

Your best bet would be to start with the Soarer wiring diagrams.

    - Identify the plugs which connect the engine harness to the car harnesses.

    - Go through the diagrams and highlight every connection at those plugs.

    - Make a table with the plug, the pins and the connections they represent.

    - Get your hands on the Corona wiring diagrams and repeat the process.

    - See how many of the connections from the Soarer harness you can directly match up with the Corona body harness.

    - Build new wiring harnesses for the remaining connections that are required.

If you're not keeping the air conditioning, and have converted to manual then you've knocked out half the work already!

    Good luck!
