Totally agree...you don't need the turbo motor though, just the injected one. We had an absolute blast in a bunky old one with the carbied 1.8, thing went ANYWHERE, and sounded mean after the exhaust rusted through

soz, stupid address! delete lift kit, insert mx5 suspension and this would be a reasonable car.

    I likey!

Something like that might tie me over until I get an R51 Pathfinder.

I wonder if there's any in Vic like that, that way I can bypass engineering. (Providing it comes with reg.)

from my experience you have to put your foot down when the missus wants a wagon.

    you have to ask yourself

why do you want a wagon?
what can a wagon do for you that a sedan can't?
why does your missus want a wagon? (this can be like travelling through an acid trip, basically my missus wanted a wagon for the dog, but never puts the dog in the back!)

then you have to realise that your really are reducing your options by about 75% when you want a wagon.

if I was you I would be doing a 1J/2J/1UZ cressie

    it ticks all the boxes
