Default Blue Slip for ACT car in NSW

I have bought a 1971 Celica with ACT plates and now must get a Blue Slip in NSW to get Rego. I have a couple of question
    1) Does anyone know a place to find a local place that will do a blueslip near Lakemba?
    2) It has had race seats fitted and four point belts, will it need to get a engineers certificate?

    Cheers

    Hi,

Check the Yellow Pages on-line and search for "blue slip inspection" with your post code in it. usually a few will spit out.

Blue slip checks to make sure the car is built how it was intended, and it can be the whim of the inspector as to how happy they are with the seats. If the car is still ACT registered, or recently registered in the ACT, and you can provide evidence of this, and the car had those seats in it while it was registered, you should be okay.

A found this one to be good, weren't too 'hard' on my old corona unlike some others in the area:
    Arthur & Troy's Auto Repairs
Unit B/ 459 Canterbury Rd, Campsie
    (02) 9789 2228

They're actually behind the Robbo's parts shop off Stanley St.

They may have a few muscle cars in the shop to drool over as well.

I took the car Today to a garage and told me they needed to see the Engineers Cert. I have spoken to the ACT Roads Authority and they may have a copy of the Certificate. I will try the Garage Behind Robbo's on Canterbury Road. Fingers crossed
    Cheers
