The 89 AFM engine scored the good pistons and rods too, did it not? So an ARP bolt kit, new gaskets and a good balance would make for a strong, 250rwhp turbo motor with a T3 or similar on it?

Not sure if it has the goodies or not but if it does 250rwhp will be a breeze
    !
Good tune though. Bad tunes will still break stuff ( sometimes ! )

Pistons and rings are actually dirt cheap from Toyota. Last time i got them they were about $550 including rings. The rods you're probably better off sourcing 2nd hand. Look for the AE92 GZE or smallport rods as they're slightly chunkier in the mid-section.

    4agte finally completed. 234rwkw @ 8125rpm. Tis fun

    Listen to EDDIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!

The AE92 smallport 4A-G* rods are a little chunkier than the AE101 variant 4A-G* rods. If you dont intend on revving the Takumi out of your engine, then the AE92 smallport rods will serve you well.

The 8.9:1 compression gze pistons from toyota are worth 10/5ths of fuck all. $76ea on trade prices actually.
