What car is the engine currently IN?
Hi guys I am in need of help. I have searched the forum to no avail. How do I recognise the different models. The problem lies that i have no idea what model car it came out of before. I am quite certain that it is just a 1gge due to a 10:1 base comp (not very familiar with those engines but positive that this comp is too high for the boost that is being introduced to the engine.)
any help would be highly appriciated. If there is a thread allready explaning this i am sorry must have missed it. Thanks.

Sorry probably should have stated that. RA2800 Celica. The conversion has been done before my friend got the car. It is now in need of some engine work. I was told that there are two different models of this motor in regards to the design of the bottom end. One with small journals and one with large. The one one with samll supposedly accepts big end and main bearings from a 2s series motor. Just trying to do the research before i will have the thing in a million bits and can't find the parts to put it together. thanks
The 2 different 1G you refer can be spotted by the stamping of"1G" on the right side rear , down the bottom of the block, if you have the "1G" then its fitted with the GEN3 Crank which is the better unit, contact Jamie from Forcefed performance for bearings .
